Features
System-accurate dice rolling with all the mechanics you need for Mork Borg.
- d20 roll-under ability checks
- Misery die (d6 doomsday)
- Crit on 1, fumble on 20
- Variable weapon damage
- DR modifiers
- Apocalypse tracking
How It Works
Roll a d20 and try to roll equal to or under your ability score (modified by DR). A natural 1 is a critical success, and a natural 20 is a fumble. The Misery die (d6) tracks the approaching end of the world — roll a 1 and a new Misery is fulfilled.
Pro tips
In Mork Borg, everything is stacked against you. Keep your abilities as high as possible and avoid unnecessary risks. Track your Miseries carefully — when the 7th falls, it's game over for everyone.
FAQ
How do ability checks work in Mork Borg?
Roll a d20 and try to get equal to or under your ability score. The GM may apply a DR (Difficulty Rating) that modifies your target number. Natural 1 is always a critical success, natural 20 is always a fumble.
What is the Misery die?
The Misery die is a d6 rolled at certain intervals. When you roll a 1, a Psalm of Misery is fulfilled, bringing the world one step closer to its end. After 7 Miseries, the world is destroyed and the game ends.
Why are crits and fumbles reversed?
Mork Borg uses a roll-under system, so lower is better. Natural 1 is the best possible roll (critical success), while natural 20 is the worst (fumble). This is the opposite of D&D.
