How It Works
Roll d100 (1-100) against your skill value. Roll equal to or under to succeed. Doubles (11, 22, 33...) under your skill are critical successes; doubles over are critical failures. Advantage lets you roll two tens dice and take the lower; disadvantage takes the higher.
Pro tips
Watch your Stress level carefully — it makes panic checks deadlier. Try to rest and reduce stress between encounters. Advantage is powerful in Mothership; look for ways to gain it through teamwork and preparation.
FAQ
How do critical rolls work in Mothership?
Doubles are special in Mothership. If you roll doubles (11, 22, 33, etc.) and the result is under your skill, it's a critical success. If doubles are over your skill, or you roll 90+, it's a critical failure.
How does the panic system work?
When triggered, roll 2d10 and add your current Stress level. Low results mean you keep it together; high results cause increasingly severe effects from trembling to heart attacks. Stress accumulates as horrible things happen.
How does advantage work in Mothership?
With advantage, roll two tens-place dice and keep the lower one (better for roll-under). With disadvantage, keep the higher one. This simulates favorable or unfavorable conditions.
