How It Works
Roll d100 against your skill value (plus any Advantage bonus). Success Levels are calculated as the tens digit of your skill minus the tens digit of your roll. Doubles under your skill are automatic successes (+1 SL minimum), doubles over are automatic failures (-1 SL maximum).

How are Success Levels calculated?
SL = (tens digit of skill) - (tens digit of roll). For example, with skill 45 rolling 23: SL = 4 - 2 = +2 SL. With skill 45 rolling 67: SL = 4 - 6 = -2 SL. Higher positive SL means better success.
What does Advantage do?
Each point of Advantage adds +10 to your effective skill for the next test. You gain Advantage from winning opposed tests and lose it all when you lose one or take a hit. It represents tactical momentum in combat.
What are critical hits and fumbles?
Rolling SL +6 or higher is a critical success with spectacular effects. Rolling SL -6 or lower is a fumble with terrible consequences. Doubles under your skill guarantee at least +1 SL; doubles over guarantee at least -1 SL.
