Glory (Werewolf: The Apocalypse 5th Edition)
Definition
Glory is the Renown of heroic action, earned through feats of combat, daring rescues, and dramatic accomplishments that the Garou Nation remembers and celebrates. It measures a werewolf's reputation as a warrior and hero, reflecting deeds that inspire others and strike fear into the servants of the Wyrm. In Werewolf 5th Edition, Glory is not merely about killing enemies. It is about performing deeds worthy of song and story. A Garou who single-handedly holds a bridge against a pack of fomori earns Glory. One who charges into a Wyrm-tainted factory to rescue trapped Kinfolk earns Glory. The Galliard sing of these deeds at moots, and Glory Renown determines a Garou's standing as a warrior in the eyes of the Nation. Spirits of war and valor recognize high-Glory werewolves, granting access to powerful combat-oriented Gifts.

Frequently asked questions
How do I earn Glory Renown?
Glory is earned through dramatic heroic actions: winning difficult battles, performing daring rescues, defending caerns, and any feat that other Garou would consider worthy of song. The deed should be notable, not routine.
Can non-combat characters earn Glory?
Yes. Glory comes from dramatic, heroic deeds, not just combat. A Theurge who performs a dangerous rite to save a caern or a Ragabash whose daring infiltration saves the pack can absolutely earn Glory.
What happens if I lose Glory?
Glory can decrease if you act in cowardly ways, abandon packmates in danger, or fail to act when heroism is called for. Significant Glory loss may affect your Rank and the willingness of war spirits to work with you.
