Nosferatu (Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition)
Nosferatu are the hideous spies and information brokers of the Camarilla, known for their repulsive appearance and mastery of secrets. Every Nosferatu is cursed with a hideous, inhuman appearance that makes them instantly recognizable as monsters. They cannot hide what they are, but they've turned this curse into a strength. Nosferatu characters excel at information gathering, stealth, and survival. Their Disciplines (Animalism, Obfuscate, and Potence) make them excellent spies, trackers, and fighters. They can communicate with animals, become invisible, and possess incredible strength. However, their clan bane (the Repulsive) makes them permanently hideous and unable to blend into human society.
How it works (mechanics)
**Clan Disciplines**: Animalism, Obfuscate, Potence **Clan Bane - The Repulsive**: All Nosferatu count their Bane Severity as 2 higher for the Repulsive Flaw. They suffer a penalty equal to their Bane Severity to any roll where their appearance is a factor when interacting with humans. Nosferatu cannot pass for human without Obfuscate or other supernatural means. **Compulsion**: When your Compulsion triggers, you must hoard information, secrets, or resources. You become obsessed with gathering knowledge and may refuse to share information even when it would help allies. **Starting Disciplines**: Choose 3 dots among Animalism, Obfuscate, and Potence (max 2 dots in any single Discipline at creation).

**Character Concepts**: Information broker, spy, hacker, sewer dweller, investigator, archivist, network administrator, urban explorer. **Playstyle**: Nosferatu excel at information gathering and stealth operations. They're excellent for players who want to play spies, investigators, or information brokers. Consider pairing with Predator Types like Sandman (stealth feeding) or Bagger (blood bag feeding). **Synergies**: Obfuscate makes you invisible, perfect for spying. Animalism allows you to gather information through animals (rats, pigeons, etc.). Potence gives you physical power despite your appearance. Invest in Investigation, Stealth, and Technology.
