SIZ (Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition)
Definition
Size represents your investigator's overall physical mass and stature—height, weight, and body frame combined into a single value. Unlike most characteristics, SIZ is rolled on 2d6+6 then multiplied by 5, reflecting a narrower human range. In Call of Cthulhu, SIZ is mechanically important because it combines with CON to determine Hit Points and with STR to determine Build and Damage Bonus. A large investigator can absorb more punishment and hit harder, but is also harder to hide and more conspicuous. SIZ cannot be improved through training—it represents your natural frame.

Frequently asked questions
Why is SIZ rolled differently from other characteristics?
SIZ uses (2d6+6)×5 instead of 3d6×5, giving a range of 40-90 instead of 15-90. This reflects the narrower range of adult human body sizes compared to other physical attributes.
Can SIZ change during play?
SIZ doesn't change through skill improvement. Significant weight gain or loss might adjust it slightly at the Keeper's discretion, but it generally represents your permanent frame.
