Cybertech (Cyberpunk RED)

Skills

Definition

Cybertech is the specialized skill of working with cyberware—the cybernetic implants that define life in the Time of the Red. Installing chrome, repairing damaged implants, maintaining existing cyberware, and understanding the complex intersection of biology and technology all fall under Cybertech. Cybertech uses your TECH stat and is the defining skill for ripperdocs—the street surgeons who install and maintain cyberware for Night City's chromed-up population. Cyberware is everywhere: Kiroshi optics, neural processors, cyberlimbs, reflex boosters, and countless other implants. All of it needs installation, maintenance, and occasional repair. A skilled Cybertech can install new chrome, repair battle-damaged implants, diagnose cyberware malfunctions, and even modify existing implants for enhanced performance. For edgerunners, having a Cybertech specialist in the crew means cheaper installations, field repairs to damaged chrome, and the ability to salvage cyberware from fallen enemies.
