Heavy weapons (Cyberpunk RED)

Skills

Definition

Heavy Weapons covers the use of serious military hardware—rocket launchers, grenade launchers, flamethrowers, and other destructive ordinance that goes beyond personal firearms. These are weapons designed to destroy vehicles, breach fortifications, and eliminate hardened targets. Heavy Weapons uses your REF stat and occupies the extreme end of the combat spectrum. When shoulder arms aren't enough and you need to crack an armored transport, demolish a building entrance, or deal with a cyberpsycho in full body armor, Heavy Weapons is the answer. The downside is everything you'd expect: these weapons are expensive, the ammunition is rare, they're impossible to conceal, and collateral damage is almost guaranteed. Using heavy weapons in Night City draws immediate attention from law enforcement, corporate security, and everyone else in the blast radius. They're last-resort weapons for desperate situations—or first-resort weapons for people who don't care about subtlety.

How it works

**Linked Stat**: REF **Key Uses**: - Anti-vehicle attacks with rocket launchers - Area denial with grenade launchers - Breaching fortified positions - Dealing with heavily armored targets **Additional**: Heavy Weapons cause massive damage but are expensive, conspicuous, and cause significant collateral damage. Ammunition is costly and rare.

Tips

**Build Advice**: Extremely situational. Most edgerunners never need Heavy Weapons, but when you do, nothing else will do. One crew member with the skill can be a lifesaver. **Synergies**: Pairs with Demolitions for complete destruction capability. Shoulder Arms and Autofire round out a full military skillset. **Character Concepts**: Former military heavy weapons specialist, nomad war rig gunner, corporate warzone operator, anarchist with access to military hardware.
