Definition

Melee Weapon is your skill with hand-held weapons—swords, knives, clubs, axes, cyberblades, and any other weapon you swing, stab, or slash with. In a city full of guns, melee might seem outdated, but in Night City's tight corridors, crowded clubs, and close-quarters encounters, a blade can be deadlier than a bullet. Melee Weapon uses your DEX stat and covers armed close combat. Cyberweapons like Wolvers, Mantis Blades, and Monowire all use this skill, making it essential for characters who've invested in bladed cyberware. Melee weapons are silent, never run out of ammo, and can't be detected by standard weapon scanners when they're part of your body. For characters who fight up close and personal, Melee Weapon turns every encounter into a lethal dance of steel and chrome.

How it works

Unarmed fighting uses the Brawling skill instead.
