Homebrew
Definition
Custom content created by GMs or players rather than official publishers. Can include house rules, new classes, monsters, settings, or entire game systems.
Example
“I homebrewed a blood mage class for our campaign. It's not official, but my GM approved it and we balanced it together.”
Common Mistakes
- Homebrewing without understanding why official rules work the way they do
- Not playtesting homebrew before committing to it
- Assuming homebrew from the internet is balanced
